Registration Fees

PERMANENT REGISTRATION
Standard - rams/$10 ewes/$5 - may take 4 weeks or longer. If registration is needed 4 less weeks from receipt by the registrar of a complete application and payment of fees no extra charge is required, but the applicant must include the date needed.
Requests for "rush jobs" for which the registration certificate is needed in 2 or fewer weeks double the registration fees (i.e., rams/$20; ewes/$10), plus priority mail shipping ($10 for 3-day shipping; $25 for 2-day shipping) if the applicant is unable or unwilling to accept the registration certificate via e-mail.

In cases of "rush jobs" for ram registrations, the applicant must contact the registrar to determine where fleece samples should be mailed. Applicants should be prepared to use priority mail shipping to send fleece samples. The registration application and fees should be sent to the JSBA Registrar.

The registration form may be printed and mailed, or saved as a document and e-mailed to:

TEMPORARY LAMB CERTIFICATES ----for lambs less than 1 year old.
Temporary lamb certificates are issued to satisfy the requirement by some fairs and shows that lambs be registered, but when the lamb (e.g., a ram lamb) is too young or insufficient time allows for full registration. A temporary lamb certificate ensures a lamb is descended from JSBA-registered parents, although it has not yet undergone required inspection for registration.
Both parents must be registered. The certificate is good for the calendar year in which it was issued
Standard - allow 3 weeks and include date needed - $3
Requests for quick turnaround are possible, but a $35 rush fee may be levied.
Temporary certificate (use the registration application - no pictures are required) requests should be mailed to:

TRANSFER OWNERSHIP - $2
